Why You Keep Coming Back
Dreamgirl Diaries™
You know what I find interesting?
It usually isn't about me.
I know that's probably not what you expected me to say, but it's true.
Sure, you might enjoy talking to me. Maybe you like the flirting. Maybe you like the teasing. Maybe you like handing over control for a little while.
But after years of doing this, I've realized you're rarely coming back because I'm wearing a certain outfit or because I remembered your favorite fantasy.
You're coming back because of how you feel when you're here.
For a little while, you don't have to be the boss.
You don't have to solve anyone's problems.
You don't have to carry the weight of being dependable.
You don't have to have the right answer.
You get to set all of that down at the door.
I don't think enough people understand how exhausting it can be to always feel like you're holding everything together.
Sometimes what you're really buying isn't a fantasy.
It's a pause.
A place where no one expects anything from you except honesty.
I've had conversations with men who looked like they had everything.
Beautiful homes.
Successful careers.
Families they genuinely loved.
Then they'd look at me and quietly admit something they'd never told another soul.
Not because I had some magical answer.
Because I wasn't asking them to be anyone except themselves.
That kind of acceptance is powerful.
It also comes with responsibility.
If you're coming to someone like me because you're running away from your life, eventually you'll have to go back.
But if you're coming because you're trying to understand yourself a little better, that's a different conversation.
I don't want you hiding from your life.
I want you building one where fewer parts of yourself need to stay hidden.
You deserve relationships where honesty doesn't feel terrifying.
You deserve spaces where you can laugh, surrender, explore, and still be respected.
Most of all, you deserve to understand what you're actually searching for.
Because once you know that...
You stop chasing people.
You start chasing truth.
And trust me, that's a much more interesting journey.
Until next time...
XOXO,
